Bosco App: Cyber-well-being for your child using AI
August 06, 2019 |
Utilizing our deep learning based technologies for multimodal processing of image, text and video contents, we provide machine intelligence backend services to perform analysis for the wellbeing and safety of your child. This activity is currently being commercialized by an Israeli start-up Alerteenz in the form of Bosco, a smartphone app to alert parents on warning signs for detected events on their children’s smartphone (See Figure 1 below).
Data are collected by Alerteenz from the child’s phone, including chat messages (e.g. WhatsApp), shared pictures and video clips, and the phone’s location. The data are then analysed by our machine intelligence services. Examples of analysis services provided are – whether chat messages contain signs of cyberbullying; whether pictures shared contain nudity; whether videos viewed contain violence; or whether the travelling route of the child is a normal routine e.g. from home to school at the usual time (Refer to Figure 1 below).
From the experience of this venture, we hope to enhance and apply similar technologies to Panasonic’s services, targeting not only the monitoring of child, but also the monitoring of the elderly. It can also be deployed for private LTE network to monitor special activities happening in a distributed manner.
