Faces in the crowd are no longer an anonymous sea of people. Today, facial recognition technology can pinpoint a lost child, a wanted person, a missing passenger, and many others.
Panasonic R&D Center Singapore has been building a global reputation as a pioneer in Deep Learning-based Facial Recognition technology. Our Deployment Force is working in tandem with our business divisions to customize and integrate our Deep Learning results into real products.
Today, the Deep Learning-based Facial Recognition System can recognize faces in ways never before possible, even when people are looking away from the camera, wearing sunglasses, wigs or different clothing.
The system has developed solutions for commercial applications across a wide range of industries and sectors such as aviation, retail, education, public transport and finance.
Our award-winning team has achieved accolades from the world’s leading industry authorities. Panasonic R&D Center Singapore got first place in the NIST IJB-A Face Challenge (as of 28th April 2017).
We subsequently achieved first place in the 2017 MS-Celeb-1M Grand Challenge.
We have also been honoured with the Gold Award for this theme at the All Panasonic Technology Symposium 2017.
In addition to the Facial Recognition technology, we have been developing other security/surveillance technologies, such as Person Re-Identification, Vehicle Re-Identification and Abnormality Detection.
