William is a technologically-savvy individual with twenty years of Research and Development (R&D) experience in consumer electronics and energy solutions. He graduated from the University of Birmingham in the UK with a Bachelor of Engineering degree, specialising in Electronics and Electrical Engineering, or EEE.

He also pursued a Master’s in Electronics and Information Technology. He started his career in the area of consumer electronics, working at the forefront of audio visual compression, broadcast standards and technology, servicing primarily Panasonic Japan. He contributed 4 patents and 7 technical papers during this period.

In 2012, William took up the exciting opportunity to be one of the pioneers to help setup Panasonic Energy Solutions Development Center in Singapore. As the R&D Leader, he spearheaded a 15-member team towards the successful development of energy conservation and management solutions. He was instrumental in bringing the solutions to market, assisting in customer scope and solution requirements.
