Han Boon key skillsets are on video/image processing and compression. He has more than 10 years of project development experience in leading hardware video codec development. Examples of video codec developed are MPEG-2, H.264, H.265, etc, in which they were deployed in various Panasonic products like professional video cameras, consumer video cameras, Blu-ray recorders, build-in TV recorders and surveillance cameras. He is also contributing to International Standardization activities like AVC and VVC Standardization.

He is also branching into artificial intelligence (AI), where he leads a group of innovative engineers into exploring applications of AI which gives a better life, a better world.

Han Boon graduated from Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE) in Nanyang Technological University (NTU) in Singapore and joined Panasonic R&D Center Singapore in 2002.
