Artificial Intelligence Group (AIG) Learning & Vision Team (LV)
Sugiri heads the Artificial Intelligence Group and concurrently leads the Learning & Vision Team at Panasonic R&D Center Singapore, where he guides a group of AI specialists dedicated to advancing artificial intelligence solutions. Under his leadership, the team has successfully had several of its R&D outcomes adopted into Panasonic’s products and services across diverse market segments. The team’s work has earned recognition through numerous external and internal awards.
Sugiri earned BEng and MEng degrees from Nanyang Technological University and a PhD from the University of South Wales. His technical expertise is complemented by extensive management experience and executive education, including an Executive Certificate in Engineering Leadership from Nanyang Business School, as well as an Executive Certificate in Leadership and People Management and a Certified Professional Business Manager certification, both from Singapore Management University.
