HUANG Lei leads IEEE Wireless Communication Research project. He focuses on driving cutting-edge innovations in WLAN and cellular wireless technologies.
Huang Lei got his Ph.D. in Wireless Communications from Victoria University (VU) in Australia in 2003 and joined PRDCSG in 2006, conducting research and development on algorithm and protocol design for PHY/MAC/higher layer of various wireless communication systems. He is also an active member and contributor to Standard Developing Organisations (SDOs) such as IEEE 802.11. In particular, he is the key contributor on IEEE 802.11ay MIMO beamforming and spatial sharing techniques. His research in the wireless domain has been granted more than 50 patents.
